BYE BYE BIRDIE AUDITIONS

Auditions WILL be held on Saturday, January 8th at 10:00, as planned. If you cannot make it, due to the weather, make ups and call backs will be held at 3:00 on Monday, January 10th. Please contact us at cur10call@hotmail.com if you need to come Monday, so we can make arrangements. We hope to see you Saturday!

BLACKBOX at DV

On Thursday, January 27th @ 7:00, the DV Drama Club will present an evening of monologues and scenes in a Blackbox setting on the DVHS stage. The program is the result of acting workshops held during the fall.
Some material is original, some workshop pieces, and others come from established plays. A 3:00 dress rehearsal will be held on the 27th for DVHS students. The 7:00 performance is open to the general public. The Blackbox is an intimate space with limited seating. Both performances are free, and seating will happen on a first-come basis.  Donations will be accepted at the door to help support the drama club's spring musical.

Auditions

DV Drama Club is proud to announce the spring musical for 2011 is BYE BYE BIRDIE. Auditions for the show will be held on Saturday, January 8 @ 10:00am in the DVHS auditorium.
Students will need to prepare a song in the style of the show, and come prepared to dance, in appropriate dancewear and shoes. Callbacks will be posted Monday, Jan.10th and held that day after school @ 3:00. If you have questions, call 570.296.1800, ext. 7101. Hope to see you on the 8th.

Maybe you'd like to see some feature articles on individual Drama Club members! And maybe you'd enjoy hearing about some of the behind-the-scenes work, like the costumes, sets, lighting, and how we build the stages. It might even be fun to hear how we choose a play or where we find some of the talent that helps us to pass along love of theater to all  DV students.
